Gregory D. Smith joined Stubbeman, McRae, Sealy, Laughlin and Browder, Inc. in September 2017, after spending nine years in both an in house and executive role at Midland based independent oil and gas exploration company, RK Petroleum Corp. He graduated with an Honors Bachelors of Arts in political science in 2005 from Saint Louis University and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 2008, where he served as an editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law. He is licensed in Texas (2008) and Illinois (2009) and in 2013 was Board certified in oil, gas and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Smith's practice has been devoted to oil and gas transactional and title matters. His practice includes leasing, joint operating agreements, title, pooling, purchase and sale agreements, and complex title disputes.

Mr. Smith currently serves on the Board of Directors of Keep Midland Beautiful and Casa de Amigos and is a vestry member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity in Midland.
