Biography
Born and raised in the Permian Basin, Omar is Of Counsel to the Oil and Gas Section of the firm. His practice is centered on oil and gas title examination and transactional matters related to fee, state, and federal lands in both Texas and New Mexico. He represents a wide range of energy clients, from privately held local operators to publicly traded multi-national corporations. He counsels and assists clients with bespoke document preparation, title examination for surface, mineral, and leasehold assets, agreement negotiation, asset acquisition and divestiture, and other day to day operational legal needs. He has over 15 years of experience in the preparation of complex drilling and division order title opinions. He also assists surface and mineral fee interest owners research and establish their ownership, and represents them in negotiating surface use agreements, easements, oil and gas leases, conveyances and deeds.
